The NFL has officially reached the midway point of the 2013 season and the divisional races are starting to take shape. But who cares about the playoffs when we have more pressing issues…..THE WEEK 9 LINES ARE OUT! With only 11 games left this weekend the options are somewhat limited. However, that doesn’t mean that Vegas hasn’t provided us with some interesting lines. Let’s get in to it!

All lines from Covers.com

Saints -6 @ Jets

So you think the Jets defense is good? They’re giving up 26.4 point per game. Some things just aren’t as they seem. Just like the Jets 4-4 record. Sure, they are a surprising 3-1 at home. Sure, they have been mildly impressive this season. Well, it all goes down the drain this weekend after the real Jets were exposed by Andy Dalton and the Bengals last weekend. Drew Brees and the Saints offense is going to run a class on offensive efficiency in the Meadowlands on Sunday.

Prediction: Saints 38 – Jets 17

Chiefs -3 @ Buffalo

The Chiefs know how to win football games. Regardless of the situation somehow this team finds a way to get a victory. Then why should we bet against the Chiefs? You shouldn’t. Especially not against the Thad Lewis led Bills. It’s not exactly like Buffalo is a huge home field advantage. The Chiefs stellar defense should continue to shut down offenses and allow for the average Chiefs offense to put up some points and cover the spread.

Prediction: Chiefs 27 – Bills 13

Redskins +1 vs Chargers

It is clear that the Redskins can’t play defense. We all know that at this point in the season. Philip Rivers and the rest of the Chargers offense is going to have some success scoring the ball, even though heading east and playing a morning game isn’t the easiest of tasks. However, the Redskins offense should also be very effective against the lowly Chargers defense. SHOOT OUT ALERT! Go with the home team in such an evenly matched game.

Prediction: Redskins 30 – Chargers 27

Seahawks -15.5 vs Bucs

Fifteen and a half might seem like a lot of points to give up for a team that just escaped the jaws of defeat on Monday Night in St. Louis; however, don’t discount the power of the 12th man. The Seahawks haven’t lost at home since Week 16 of the 2011 season. Despite the short week the Hawks should be well prepared to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, especially considering the Bucs are 0-7, starting a rookie QB and have to travel all the way across the country. Look for the Seahawks to dominate this one from start to finish.

Prediction: Seahawks 34 – Buccaneers 7

Colts -1 @ Texans

It is very easy to look at the records of these two teams and pick the Colts to take this one. Vegas; however, believes that this game is a lot closer than most would assume. It is hard to bet against Vegas considering how money they usually are, but that is exactly what you should do in this one. The Colts have Andrew Luck. The Texans have Case Keenum? Or Matt Schaub? Who cares, it doesn’t matter. The only reason not to pick the Colts is if you were scared off by the Colts road loss to the San Diego Chargers. Don’t be scared off by that loss, it was an anomaly. Take the better team. Take the Colts.

Prediction: Colts 28 – Texans 21

Eagles/Raiders Over 45

Yes, the Eagles have only scored three offensive points in the past two weeks. Yes, Philadelphia doesn’t really know who they are starting at QB, though it looks like Nick Foles is going to start. Ignore that. The Eagles have one of the worst defenses in football and the Raiders are marginal defensively at best. This game should feature a ton of scoring from both teams. Don’t think too much about this. Bet against the defenses.

Prediction: Eagles 31 – Raiders 27

Panthers/Falcons Over 43

The Panthers have been one of the more impressive teams over the first half of the season and Ron Rivera finally looks like a legitimate NFL Head Coach. The Falcons are a wreck defensively but still have Matt Ryan and a potentially explosive offense, even without Julio Jones. The over should be an easy victory this weekend regardless of which team wins the matchup.

Prediction: Panthers 30 – Falcons 23
