Penguins goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury has been under the microscope since his disappointing performance in the playoffs last year. So far in this early NHL season, he’s been able to keep his critics silent. Until today, of course.
During Saturday’s matchup between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Vancouver Canucks, Fleury allowed a goal on a shot from center ice by Canucks defenseman Alex Edler. Though he made the initial save, the puck went off his chest and over his head into the goal. He now joins the likes of Roberto Luongo, Jonathan Quick, and Jonathan Bernier in the “most pathetically embarrassing goals of the 2013-2014 season” category.
