The San Francisco 49ers got walloped at CenturyLink Field by the Seattle Seahawks by the score of 29-3. Seattle enjoyed their overwhelmingly raucous crowd help take the 49ers out of their offense by cheering so loudly that they set a world record. In the first half the crowd noise reached a decibel level of 131.9 beating the previous Guinness World Record of 131.7 decibels set two years ago during a soccer match in Istanbul, Turkey. Then in the third quarter Seattle’s 12th Man raised it to an unprecedented 136.6 decibel level.
Well apparently not everyone is celebrating in the accomplishment. A letter was sent by disgruntled 49ers fans published in yesterday’s San Francisco Chronicle complaining. Ms. Spelman and Mr. Schiller would like the National Football League to intervene and stop the Seahawks from being so deafening loud. Besides the noise complaint the Schillers would also appreciate everyone staying off their damn lawn.
