Gregg Popovich is prepping for his Spurs’ NBA Finals appearance, and as that was happening some great old photos of Pop have surfaced. Rae Cabello Tweeted out a few images of Pop during his time as a student and player at the Air Force Academy during the late 1960s. As FTW points out, it looks like his nickname at that time was ‘Popo.’ Random fact of the day would be that Pop graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Soviet studies. Awesome.
