Apparently it’s ’90s Week around here. First we had the Mark McGrath cruise announcement, then the Fresh Prince theme song got reworked, and now, in arguably the second-biggest story of the day, child rap sensation Kris Kross is reuniting. Chris “Mac Daddy” Kelly and Chris “Daddy Mac” Smith, the backwards clothes-wearing duo best known for their double-platinum hit “Jump”, are picking up the mic again — 18 years after vanishing from the industry — for a one-off performance to honor the 20th anniversary of Jermaine Dupri’s So So Def Recordings.

Dupri discovered Kelly and Smith, both age 32, in a shopping mall in 1990, and produced their first album, Totally Krossed Out, which went on to sell more than four million copies. The star-studded anniversary bash takes place at Atlanta’s Fox Theater on February 23rd, and features former So So Def artists Xscape, Da Brat, Jagged Edge and Bow (don’t call him Lil’) Wow.
