The Arizona Cardinals became one of the NFL’s pleasant surprises through four weeks of the season as the defeated the Seahawks, Patriots, and Eagles on their way to a 4-0 record. However, a six-game losing streak has Arizona looking for answers, and apparently unrealistic optimism from linebacker Daryl Washington.
“The season is never over until it’s over,” Washington said. “As easily as we’ve lost six straight, we can easily win six games in a row.”
I am all for locker room positivity but only an ignorant fool believes you do not have to take the NFL one game at a time, or any sport for that matter.
Kansas State was rolling to the BCS title game before getting embarrassed in Waco on Saturday. The Green Bay Packers sat at 2-3 following a loss to the Colts and entered Week 6 staring up at the Vikings and Bears in the NFC North standings, but have rebounded to a 1st place worthy 7-3 record.
Their remaining schedule includes trips to Seattle and San Francisco with a home date vs. the Bears in the middle. Daryl, maybe next time indicate you are focusing on the St. Louis Rams in Week 12 and plan to snap that losing streak before spouting off absurd predictions.
