Jimmy Nelson, Sporting KC’s goalie, was injured by a flying bobblehead as Sporting Kansas City beat the Portland Timbers 3-1 in Major League Soccer on Wednesday. A fan thought it was a good idea to toss a part of an Omar Bravo bobblehead at the goalie the aim was spectacular. The Danish keeper lay on the field for 4 minutes but was able to continue after being checked out by medical personnel.
When asked about the incident, Nelson replied: It happens, it’s no big deal.”
