Here in the states, we think fans are rabid when they watch games in the cold and paint their faces. Those fans pale in comparison to these Turkish soccer fans. This weekend in a match between Bursaspor and Besiktas, over 100 Bursaspor fans were detained after they got into a fight with police as they tried to keep Besiktas fans out of their stadium. The game ended up being postponed due to the violence. 25 police officers and 9 fans were injured.
Imagine if a bunch of Buffalo Bills fans were arrested trying to keep Pats fans from entering Ralph Wilson on a Sunday.
