Back in November of 2010, Cosby Sweaters referred to Mark Zuckerberg as the 50 Cent of Corporate America because of the way he was thuggin’ his way through startups that potentially took share of his turf. Most notable was the launch of the clumsy Facebook “Places” in response to the fast growing Foursquare check-in application. When Places hit, people were declaring Foursquare’s imminent death.
But Foursquare has clapped back in a very meaningful way. When Places launched Foursquare had 3 million users. Since then? 7.5 million. That’s double.
