#8 ranked Stanford ends the UCONN women’s 90 game winning streak, with a definitive 71-59 win at Maples Pavilion. Stanford’s Jennette Pohlen scored a career high 31 points (and 5 3-pointers) while, the UCONN star Maya Moore was held to 14 points, showing she is, in fact, a human being.
The Cardinal move to 9-2. Coincidently, they were the last team to beat the UCONN women in 2008. Condoleezza Rice was in attendance…FYI.
