The Minnesota Timberwolves have been right up there with the Knicks and the Kings for the worst NBA team of the last 15 years. But while Phil Jackson and Vivek Ranadive are all-in, trying to win now, Flip Saunders and the Timberwolves are fielding a roster full of young, potential-laden up-and-comers. Zach LaVine, who doesn’t believe in gravity, is one of those youngsters and recently balled out at the Seattle Pro Am.
His performance included dropping 49 points and hitting the game-winning three-pointer. Check it out.
And did I mention that he missed THE ENTIRE FIRST QUARTER. That means 49 points in three quarters of action and the game-winning shot.
The All-Rookie First Teammer really looks like something special if he can figure out not to shoot the ball every time he touches it, considering his athleticism and shooting stroke. I’m sure they said the same thing about JR Smith too though.
