Andy Dalton was off to a rough start during the Bengals Thursday night match up against the Cleveland Browns.
He started off the game by going 1-7 for five yards and an interception but the most embarrassing moment may have been what happened on this third and fifteen where Dalton scrambled and scrambled and scrambled some more, only to find himself four yards beyond the line of scrimmage. So, instead of simply falling down and taking the four yards, the Red Rocket flipped the ball out of bounds and earned himself an illegal forward pass penalty instead.
By the looks of it, Dalton was probably using the down marker as a frame of reference and just completely forgot that his team faced a third and fifteen, not a third and ten. Still hilarious though.
