Kevin Durant will be missing the next six-to-eight weeks due to a fracture in his right foot. It is a big blow to the Oklahoma City Thunder but it also undoubtedly a big blow to the league as well. Durant is one of the NBA’s most talented stars and the NBA will surely feel his absence for the next couple of months.
Among those who will miss seeing Durant raining threes with his absurdly smooth jump shot is LeBron James. While James and Durant are often understandably framed as rivals, the two share a healthy and friendly relationship. So, when the news of Durant’s injury broke, LeBron sent KD a text to tell him that the season simply won’t be the same without him.
LeBron James said he texted Kevin Durant to offer his support: "I told him the game's not the same without him out there"

This is not the first time that texts of support have been exchanged between these two. Durant texted LeBron a congratulatory message after LeBron decided to return to Cleveland this summer. The two also trained together in Akron in 2011.
Hopefully, KD makes a swift recovery because LeBron’s right. The NBA just isn’t the same without Kevin Durant.
