Minnesota Wild defenseman Keith Ballard fell victim to one of the occupational hazards of being a professional hockey player during today’s game against the Buffalo Sabres. A speeding puck deflected off of a Sabres player’s skate and ricocheted straight up and into Ballard’s face. It’s one of those freak accidents that would send most people straight to the Worker’s Comp. line…but since Ballard is a hockey player, it’s just another day at the office.
