In an odd role-reversal highlight, Monday night featured Tim Hudson doing the homering off of Bryce Harper. Tim Hudson came to the plate in the bottom of the fifth inning with the Braves up 5-1. He hit a deep ball to the opposite field and it was tracked down by Bryce Harper right next to the right field wall, and then it got weird. The ball hit Bryce’s mitt as he tried to rob Hudson, and it bounced off of it and over the wall for the third home run of Hudson’s career.
Not only did Tim Hudson hit a home run, but he also notched the 200th win of his career as the Braves beat the Nationals 8-1. Hudson is the 5th pitcher to earn 200 games as an Atlanta Brave.
