It’s one thing for players to slam into each other full-speed on the football field, no one minds that, but talking smack about someones pool-side dance skills will apparently get you roughed up. Players from the Louisville and Southern Miss football teams got in a post-dance off pre-Beef O’Brady Bowl fracas in St. Petersburg Florida today that eventually led to state troopers breaking up the festivities. As an unnamed Southern Miss player explained:
They started talking trash about us being in Conference USA, [that] we can’t dance… it was stupid. We’ll do our talking on the field. A friendly dance competition and they take it all serious? It’s ridiculous.
You KNOW you don’t go around saying people can’t dance, that;s definitely grounds to throw down. Louisville linebacker Dexter Heyman had a different take on how things got started:
Someone said something disrespectful, did a little jawing after the dance contest… it’s all good, just a little too close to game time, ya know?

Eventually Florida State Troopers arrived and coaches removed both teams, no charges were filed. We’ll see who’s dancing when they hit the field and get down Beef O’Brady style.
