Liverpool has been starved of transfer business all summer, but they pulled off one of the most underrated moves of the window by signing Federico Chiesa from Juventus. The Italian is one of the most talented players in his country, but his injury troubles have plummeted his value.

Fede was one of the most sought-after players in the early 2020s due to his success with the Italian national team and Juve. Unfortunately, the injuries to his lower body became a massive issue for him, leading to his stock plummeting, which led to his former club selling him for only €12 million with €3 million in add-ons.

Chiesa believes the Premier League is the best top-flight

While Chiesa has been playing for one of the best clubs in Italy and Europe, Juventus, he still considers this move to the Premier League a dream transfer. He has been a football fan all his life and Liverpool has always been one of the top clubs even though they only have one Premier League trophy to their name.

With that being said, the Prem is a massive opportunity for Chisea to break through and showcase his skills. He was one of the very best in Serie A, but his injuries caught up to him, making him a forgotten star. However, he has the opportunity to reach that pinnacle again, this time, with one of the biggest clubs in England.

Liverpool continues to be an endearing club

Liverpool is arguably the second-most popular club in England right behind Manchester United. They might not have success in the Prem besides 2019/20, but Liverpool still has a legacy as one of the top clubs in England’s top flight before the Premier League era, and has been consistently excellent in European competitions.

The Reds got a massive steal by signing Chiesa for such a low value. His stock might have plummeted, but his talent is there. He was one of the best left-sided midfielders in the early 2020s, and he will look to be that star talent again.

How Chiesa will play for Liverpool

Chiesa is a left-sided midfielder by trade, but he has become a player who could play across all the positions in the front three. He will likely be deployed as a left-winger in rotation with Luis Diaz, which could be a massive boost for the Reds since they need more depth in that position with Diogo Jota playing more like a striker now.

Expect Fede to be one of the most important generators of offence for Liverpool as he could always make a play out of nothing with his silky dribbles and eye for a good pass. With teammates like Jota and Mohamed Salah as finishers, the Italian can be the optimal playmaker for the team.

Chiesa is a difference-maker for Liverpool

Now that Chiesa has joined Liverpool, it cannot be denied that he has the talent to stand out in an environment like the Prem. It will be hard to beat all the other clubs in the EPL, but Federico might make a difference and lead the team to victories.

It will be fun for fans and bettors alike to watch the games, knowing that a talented Italian is playing for Liverpool.
