I have nightmares about this happening all the time, and unfortunately it became a reality last night for Marc Staal. If I was forced to be out there on the ice you can damn well bet that I would have full gear on, including a goalie mask. The entire sport of hockey gets my utmost respect for toughness.
Staal of the Rangers took a vicious slap shot to the eye from Kimmo Timonen and immediately hit the ice. We will update you as soon as we hear about his status.
