Today, the NHL and the NHLPA met to discuss the league’s latest CBA proposal, which included a 50-50 split of all hockey-related revenues. This was apparently the league’s attempt to save a full 82-game season that would kick off November 2, 2012. Today, the Players Association has reportedly made three different counter-proposals which “didn’t even begin to approach 50-50,” according to the world’s most unreliable man, Gary Bettman. The NHL rejected all three proposals in a matter of 15 minutes and claim that they have made their best offer. Now the possibility of a full season, or even a season at all, is looking less and less likely.
Oh really, Gary? You’re disappointed? Please excuse me while I don’t give a f&^%.
