Vancouver Canucks star Daniel Sedin generally isn’t considered “tough” by hockey standards, but those standards have been set outrageously high over the years.
Exhibit A: Sedin took a high stick to the mouth from a Kings player last night, did not lose his footing, then proceeded to casually pull out the tooth and show it to the referees before skating off the ice and not missing a shift.
Yeah, what a wimp that guy is.
Somehow, the high sticking was only called for a minor penalty even though the NHL rulebook states that a double-minor should be called when “contact causes an injury, whether accidental or careless.” I guess even the refs have outrageously high standards nowadays.
