For their December 14th game against the New York Giants, the Miami Dolphins will be wearing some rather amazing throwback uniforms.
Reintroducing a classic.

However, the team won’t just be re-imagining the Dolphins’ old jersey style, it appears that the team will also incorporate Miami’s old (and frankly superior in every way) logo on the helmet as well.
Even as the news is welcomed (because the Dolphins’ current logo looks like something you would find on a letterhead for a Sea World hotel), it’s a bit surprising. For the past few years, the NFL has forbade teams from using “throwback” helmets with alternative uniforms for safety reasons. However, teams can simply slap on decals over their usual helmets, which is what the Dolphins will likely do for their December game against New York.
It goes without saying that these throwbacks are amazing and that the team should just use these as one of their main uniforms moving forward (and please, for the love of all that is marine, bring back the Dolphins old logo).
