Patriots Delete Tweet Trolling Jets Because Of Course

The New England Patriots are getting prepared to square off against their divisional rivals(?) the New York Jets on Sunday.

Seeing as how there isn’t much lost love between the two franchises, the Patriots social media team decided to have some fun at the Jets expense by posting this immortal #TBT picture of Mark Sanchez’s infamous Thanksgiving Day Butt Fumble:

However, because the words “fun” and “New England Patriots” are rarely, if ever, lumped together, the tweet was predictably deleted soon after it picked up traction.

We all know that Bill Belichick hates giving an opponent ANY mental edge but can we please let the Patriots Twitter account live a little.

At least Tom Brady’s Facebook is allowed to keep things amusing.
