Before the start of the 2023 NFL season, the New York Giants gave starting quarterback Daniel Jones a pretty significant contract extension after he led the team to the playoffs the following season. But based on one recent report, it sounds like the team is now regretting that move in a major way.

During the most recent edition of his show, NFL insider Rich Eisen reported that sources at the NFL Combine told him the New York Giants are ready to move on from Daniel Jones as their starting quarterback, even if he does start for the team this upcoming season.

“I heard at the combine … the Giants are absolutely done with Daniel Jones. Done,” Eisen said Monday on The Rich Eisen Show. “Might have to play him this year, but that ain’t it.”

“The words I heard at the combine multiple times, two words, were ‘buyer’s remorse,’” Eisen continued.

Obviously, this is pretty horrible news for Jones as he likely expected to be the team’s longtime quarterback when he signed a four-year, $160 million extension with the team last offseason, and the NFL world had a lot to say about it on social media.

We’ll have to see what happens, but this doesn’t sound good for Jones.
