On Tuesday, Maurice Jones-Drew signed a one-day contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars to officially retire from the NFL.
The @Jaguars signed running back Maurice Jones-Drew to a 1-day contract so he can retire as a Jaguar. NFL will miss you @Jones_Drew32

Jones-Drew played nine seasons in the NFL. He was drafted by the Jaguars in the second round of the 2006 draft and he spent eight years with the team before he signed on to play with the Oakland Raiders for a largely forgettable 2014 campaign. Maurice retires from the NFL as the Jaguars all-time rushing touchdowns leader.
The Jaguars invited Jones-Drew to their stadium for the signing/retirement ceremony and the team uploaded some great pictures and videos of the event onto its Twitter.
