The Philadelphia Eagles suffered a third consecutive loss on Monday night when the team fell 20-17 to the Seattle Seahawks. And the loss star quarterback Jalen Hurts questioning the team’s commitment.
During his postgame press conference, Jalen Hurts made it clear that he doesn’t think the team is committed enough, and that’s what’s resulting in the team’s struggles.
“I’ve been talking about execution all year,” Hurts said. “Being on the same page, everyone being on the same page. We didn’t execute. I don’t think we’re, we’re all, we’re committed enough. Just got to turn it around. You know, it’s a challenge that we have to embrace. Just continue to see it through.”
Hurts was then asked to clarify what exactly he meant by that, and he seemed to indicate that the team is lacking cohesion.
“It’s a matter of being on the same page,” Hurts said. “It takes everyone being all in, in all aspects. And it starts with me.”
The good news for the Eagles is that they have three very winnable games to close the season with two games against the New York Giants and one against the Arizona Cardinals. But it’s clear that they’re going to have to straighten some things out if they’re going to compete for a Super Bowl this season.
