Last year, Bally Corporation purchased the Ferry Point Links, previously owned by former United States President Donald Trump and his Trump Organization. With Bally’s now taking over the running of golf course, the Trump name will no longer be attached and the Trump Organization will no longer have anything to do with the property – and New York City Mayor Eric Adams seems quite happy about that.
Last week, Adams unveiled the new “BALLY LINKS” sign at the Ferry Point golf course that replaced the previous “TRUMP LINKS” sign that adorned the course previously, and he had some pretty brutal words for Donald Trump and the Trump Organization as he made it very clear he did not like the way they were operating the property.
“This day is about so much more than the changing of a sign,” Adams said according to ABC7. “For far too long, this beautiful borough has been sitting on the sideline of the progression of our city. I want to thank Bally’s for having the vision, and I’m excited about the opportunities that will come out of this partnership.”
It’s clear that Trump’s removal from the property was a welcomed change for Adams and he’s pleased to be rid of the sign and Trump’s dealing with the property.
