After signing a long-term extension last offseason to remain the starting quarterback of the New York Giants for the foreseeable future, Daniel Jones suffered an unfortunate setback midway through the season when he tore his ACL. But it sounds like he’s on schedule to be ready to play next season.

During a recent interview with the New York Daily News, Daniel Jones announced that his injury rehab is on schedule, saying that it’s “going well” and that he is “making progress.

“My rehab is going well,” Jones said according to the New York Daily News. “I’m making progress. I’m three months into it, and I’ve started running on the anti-gravity treadmill. It’s going well.”

Obviously, this is a positive announcement from Jones regarding his health, and it led to a lot of reactions on social media as a result.

After Jones went down with an injury at the beginning of November, the Giants turned to rookie Tommy DeVito for the majority of their games before ultimately benching him in favor of Tyrod Taylor. However, the team has since made it clear that Jones will still be the team’s starter once he is able to return from his injury.
