Word to the wise. It may not be the best idea to challenge Brandon Marshall to a fight online because he just might take you up on it.
On Thursday, the six-foot-four, 230 pounds of professional football player was taking some pot shots from a Lions fan on social media and the fan took things a little too far.
Because he is likely an idiot or has a death wish, the Lions fan then went to Twitter to tweet the above screenshot at Marshall. And wouldn’t you know it, Brandon Marshall responded. After initally offering $5,000 for the fight, Marshall got goaded into upping the ante.
"@AnthonyGKalla: @BMarshall that's it? Cmon brandy make it 25 and we can do it in Detroit"
25 it is. Ha! You thought i wouldn't say yes.

For Marshall, there was an equally important caveat to the match as well.
"@AnthonyGKalla: @BMarshall that's it? Cmon brandy make it 25 and we can do it in Detroit"
And you have to apologize to my mom.

Of course, like so many Twitter beefs, people witnessing it happen in real time may have been taking it a bit too seriously. Marshall clarified that his boxing match offer for charity wasn’t going to end in tears and bloodshed.
Looks like people took my boxing match for charity too serious. #chill

Still, something could still happen judging by Marshall’s promise to DM the Lions fan on Friday to “talk business”.
"@AnthonyGKalla: @BMarshall dm me and let's talk business.
Ok I'm DM'ing you now.

For real. Fighting Brandon Marshall does not sound like a good way to spend one’s time. Considering that the dude is a Lions fan, it may be more advisable to just enjoy Lions football right now. Celebrating a 7-2 record and being first in the NFC North sounds like a lot more fun than being punched in the face by Brandon Marshall. Just donate the money to charity instead and save yourself the emergency room visit.
