The Texans have shown that they aren’t afraid of utilizing players in odd ways (JJ Watt has the offensive touchdowns to prove it) but that doesn’t mean that the sight of Arian Foster throwing touchdown passes isn’t a sight to behold.
With less than two minutes to go in the half against the Baltimore Ravens, Arian Foster was flipped the ball from Texans fill-in QB Case Keenum. As Foster started to drift towards the sideline, the defense understandably collapsed in on him, leaving tight end C.J. Fiedorowicz completely open. Foster then simply flipped the ball to Fiedorowicz for the easy score to put the Texans up 16-0 on the Ravens.
Considering that the Texans are starting Case Keenum of all people, having Foster throwing the ball could be seen as a play born out of necessity rather than a play born out of trickery.
