New York Jets superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers has never exactly been shy about sharing his political beliefs with the world. But it sounds like there’s a chance he could take that to the next level with an actual shocking political move.
According to a report from Rebecca Davis O’Brien of the New York Times, third-party presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is considering making Aaron Rodgers his running mate for the upcoming 2024 presidential election. This, of course, would mean Rodgers running for Vice President of the United States.
“Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has recently approached the N.F.L. quarterback Aaron Rodgers and the former Minnesota governor and professional wrestler Jesse Ventura about serving as his running mate on an independent presidential ticket, and both have welcomed the overtures, two people familiar with the discussions said,” O’Brien wrote for the New York Times this week.
“Mr. Kennedy confirmed on Tuesday that the two men were at the top of his list. It is not clear if either has been formally offered the post, however, and Mr. Kennedy is still considering a shortlist of potential candidates, the people familiar with the discussions said.”
Obviously, this is some pretty shocking news, and it led to a lot of reactions on social media as a result.
If Aaron Rodgers runs for VP that puts Zach Wilson third in line for the presidency.

Is Aaron Rodgers REALLY gonna be a vice presidential candidate? No.
RFK Jr running an independent campaign with (relatively) no money knows how to get free press, though.

Nothing would be funnier than the Jets asking Zach Wilson to come back and start again cause Aaron Rodgers wanted to win 1.8% of the popular vote as a VP candidate

We’ll have to see if it really happens.
