The Atlanta Falcons had improbably crept back into Monday night’s game against the Green Bay Packers thanks to a 17-3 run in the second half of the contest that brought the Falcons within ten points.
“Only” up 34-24 in the fourth quarter, Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers responded.
With seemingly all the time in the world, Rodgers simply launched a deep ball and Jordy Nelson somehow managed to get behind every single member of the Falcons secondary for the easiest 60 yard touchdown of his life.
The score would put the Packers up 40-24 (Mason Crosby would miss the extra point).
The Packers are rolling right now but it’s almost impossible to separate how good their offense is doing from how bad the Falcons defense has played tonight. If Green Bay’s defense showed up, this game wouldn’t even be close.
