A couple of months ago, independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. shared some shocking news when he revealed that he was considering New York Jets superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers as his running mate ahead of the upcoming 2024 presidential election. Rodgers obviously did not take on the role, but it sounds like he very much considered it and is open to a political career in the future.
During a recent interview with far-right political personality Tucker Carlson, Aaron Rodgers confirmed that he at least considered becoming the running mate for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. before ultimately deciding to return to the New York Jets for another season.
“I definitely thought about it because I love Bobby, and I just wanted to hear what he had to say about it,” Rodgers said according to Yahoo.
As for the future, Rodgers hinted that he would certainly be open to a career in politics after he is done playing football, saying that he would “love to be a part of bringing [America] back to what she used to be.”
Obviously, it’s pretty insane news that Rodgers – a quarterback who has become known for his wild conspiracy theories – is considering moving into politics, and the news led to a lot of reactions on social media.
Stick with football, Aaron Rodgers.

Once he puts down the football, Rogers will be the richest whack job fringe podcaster on the Internet.

For now, however, Rodgers is simply the quarterback of the New York Jets.
