Some athletes are often conflicted when it comes time to decide whether to fulfill their athletic responsibilities or miss a game for the birth of their children, but rarely do we ever see a player leave his team mid-game for a child’s birth.
That’s exactly what happened last night during the Grizzlies-Pelicans game in Memphis, as Grizz forward Zach Randolph left the arena in the second quarter after being told that his fiance had gone into labor.
ZBo has left the building. His fiancé, Faune, just went into labor.

Accordingly to a Grizzlies sideline reporter, Randolph wound up making it to the hospital just in time to see the birth of his son.
Congrats to ZBo and Faune on little ZBo. 7lbs 4oz baby boy. ZBo made it to the hospital just in time for the delivery

Congratulations to Zbo and his fiance on their newborn, and props to Randolph for having his priorities straight. Some things are just more important than basketball.
