LeBron James is a noted Ohioan and a fan of Cleveland area sports teams, but his blind loyalty has handed him into a heap of trouble online.
Cleveland Browns quarterback DeShaun Watson went down with an Achilles injury in the Browns’ loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. Fans booed Watson while he was down with injury, likely because of both his on-field performance this season and multiple accusations of sexual misconduct levied against him, including a lawsuit that was filed and settled out of court this year.
However, James appeared to take exception to the fans’ reaction to the Watson injury.
“Cleveland Fans! Yall know how much we’ve been thru throughout the years both good, bad and indifferent. With that being said booing anyone that’s down with an injury let alone your own player is LAME AF!!” James tweeted on Sunday night.

Unsurprisingly, fans took exception to the tweet online.
“In terms of misses, this is up there with your silence on Jayland Walker and your shilling of crypto. Hard times,” one person said on Twitter.
“Lediddy James,” one fan added.
“The man is a sexual predator who quit on his team but booing him was where the line was crossed,” a fan added.
“Idk man I think the reason people are booing him is because he sexually assaulted more than two dozen people,” one fan added.
“Lebron you’re the goat but Watson deserves it,” someone else tweeted.
“Goat i love u plz delete this,” one fan added.
Hopefully, LeBron comes to his senses and realizes that some people will never feel right about Watson before his legacy is tarnished forever.
