Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma Thunder have been struggling down the stretch and you need to shake things up when that happens, or at least blow off some steam. We have seen it happen before to professional athletes where they just need some time away, need to hit the golf course, and like in KD’s case, just hit the casino.
So, following a poor outing (and 92-77 loss) against the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday night Durant blew off some steam at a casino. He posted on Instagram “Leaving the casino, it’s 5 am..won a few dollars, made me feel good about tonight’s shellacking.”
I know people will most likely freak out and jump to conclusions that K.D. should only be focusing on the Playoffs, his conditioning, and should be getting 10 hours of sleep every night. I can already hear the rumors of a “gambling problem” being tossed around. The fact is, what Durant did is perfectly acceptable. We all deserve to take a break and have some fun. If he was slamming back Jack n’ Cokes all night and ended up in multiple strip clubs we may be able to cast some judgement, as of now we can just hope the break helped.
