Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the budding stars in the NBA. The Milwaukee Bucks have a special one in the “Greek Freak.” It appears that the team isn’t the only person that will need to pay up for his services.
Multiple sneaker brands are trying to sign the multi-talented forward. Nike, Adidas, and China’s Li-Ning are all pursuing him heavily and the arms race to get him is only getting started. Antetokounmpo was given a van of goodies by Adidas and it wasn’t just a couple of boxes of shoes. The van was packed to the brim with all kinds of swag.

All of the brands are promising a signature brand for the player and they also come with five-year contracts in hand. Reportedly, Li-Ning may give Antetokounmpo an eight-figure payday. Don’t count out Nike though. Contractually, they have an opportunity to match any offer given to the star player.
As he continues to improve and is taking the Bucks to new heights, the sky is really the limit. His European appeal could take these brands into new markets and make for a big payday. A decision is expected soon but do not expect any signature line until the 2018-19 season.
