The Cleveland Cavaliers first home game of the season was special for a couple of reasons. The start of a new season is always exciting but the Cavs had a huge extra reason to be jubilant. The return of LeBron James may have been the most hyped event of the summer and Nike ads, fans and Justin Bieber were all on hand to witness the return of the King.
TLDR: LeBron’s return to Cleveland was a Big Deal. And now, the jersey he wore for the Cavaliers’ first home game of the year is up for auction.

The jersey comes complete with a sewn-in mic pouch as LeBron was mic’d up for the game. The wear and tear from the mic tape can be seen from the inside.
As significant as the game was for Cleveland, the Cavs did lose the game to the New York Knicks by a score of 95-90 which kind of puts a damper on the lionization of gear from that day.
