While NBA 2K16 is probably all set with their rankings of every player in the NBA, Brandon Jennings would appreciate it if they changed Kobe Bryant’s score.

The Los Angeles Lakers great was given a rating of 85 in the latest installment of 2K and Jennings was dumbfounded by the decision.

During the 2014-15 season, Kobe played in 35 games during which he averaged 22.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.6 assists while shooting a career low 37% from the field.

Jennings’ argument for raising Kobe’s score was essentially to look at his total body of work, which is totally not the point of these ratings.

The 85 rating may seem low given Kobe’s history but he’s only one point lower than D-Wade and Jimmy Butler, two points below Klay Thompson (who is a much better three point shooter and defender now) and seven points behind James Harden (the best shooting guard in the league right now).

Kobe will go down as one of the greatest to ever play the game of basketball. His (reasonable) rating of 85 will not mar his reputation in the slightest.
