Once again, a foul ball at the Little League World Series broke a camera

The Little League World Series is not a forgiving place for cameras.

In LLWS action between New England champion Fairfield (Connecticut) and the Rhode Island champion Coventry, an errant foul ball was tipped perfectly into the camera zone, immediately smashing the glass. It’s a cool, yet expensive shot.

What’s bonkers is the LLWS not taking preventative measures to protect cameras. This isn’t the first time a camera was smashed at the tourney. It happens all the time.

I’m not sure what the solution is to the camera-breaking problem without getting rid of the angle altogether. If ESPN and other broadcasters are OK with constantly replacing cameras, then whatever. It’s expensive but entertaining.
