Bud Norris threw at Torii Hunter during Monday’s opening game of the series between the Tigers and Orioles, forcing both benches to clear and an ump to tap Hunter in the face. The Tigers got revenge this afternoon when Justin Verlander threw at Nelson Cruz. The ball sailed behind Cruz, but there was no brawl, however. Instead, a subtle grab of the crotch by the former Rangers outfielder.
Cruz wound up hitting a 3-run home run on his next AB against Verlander.
