Melo’s contract with the Knicks is five years, $124 million. Make no mistake, Anthony is a star, but he’s nowhere near worth that kind of money. It would make sense if he could lead teams to championships, but he has yet to do that in his career. In fact, his team was the laughingstock of the league during the 2014-15 season.
