Andrelton Simmons makes the ridiculous look easy.
On Monday, Padres outfielder Will Venable hit a grounder towards shortstop but when the ball took an odd bounce, Simmons adjusted on the fly and barehanded the ball before rifling it to first just in time to get the out.

Simmons is widely known for his defensive play. He won himself a Gold Glove last season, as well as a Fielding Bible Award and he led the MLB in Defensive Runs Saved (DRS) with a +41, the highest total on record.
Perhaps most impressively, Andrelton Simmons has made a career out of making defensive plays vastly more entertaining than they have any right to be and he’s done it so consistently that it makes stuff like this awesome highlight seem almost commonplace coming from him.
