There was plenty of hype surrounding the Padres heading into the 2015 season, and rightfully so. They made several acquisitions to turn their team around, including Matt Kemp, Justin Upton, James Shields and Craig Kimbrel. Unfortunately, their offseason moves haven’t translated into success so far and they sit 7.5 games back (4th place) in the NL West. The talent on their roster speaks for itself, and one has to think they will hit their stride sooner rather than later.
