Iowa State head coach Fred Hoiberg is known as The Mayor in his hometown Ames, Iowa. After an illustrious playing career for the Cyclones and a productive few years in the NBA, Hoiberg returned home to coach ISU in 2010 and has since transformed them into a legit Big 12 contender.
One of his finer moments did not come on Thursday in the NCAA Tournament when his team was shocked by No. 14 seed UAB. As a result, a Blazers fan made a small change to the Ames Wikipedia page. They removed the real mayor, Ann Campbell and replaced it with the name of UAB head coach Jerod Haase. The only problem is that they spelled his name wrong:
