Donald Trump didn’t waste time getting back to the links after a New York judge fined him hundreds of millions of dollars.
Days after Trump lost a record-setting judgment in New York, he played a round at Trump National Palm Beach with Caleb Surratt, a 20-year-old star on the LIV Golf circuit.
Surratt is part of Jon Rahm’s Legion XIII team and is apparently a big fan of the 45th president of the United States.
Surratt accompanied Trump on the round, taking several photographs and posting them to Instagram. One post of Surrat and Trump read, “Unreal day and such a cool moment to be able to play with 45.”
In another post with a smiling Trump in his trademark “Make America Great Again,” Surratt simply wrote, “Thank you for all you have done.”
As The Mirror noted, Surratt is the son of a professional long-drive competitor and was one of the world’s top amateur prospects before deciding to play for LIV Golf.
Per The Mirror, Surratt was the 6th best amateur golfer in the world and won four “big competitions.”
Trump currently leads South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley for the Republican Party’s 2024 presidential nomination. If he wins, he’ll likely face Joe Biden in a rematch of the 2020 election.
