Sand Sculpture And $3,150 Donation To Mariano Rivera Foundation – Tampa Bay Rays, August 23
I see what you did there. Impressive idea by the Rays to get someone to do a sand sculpture that included a little play on words, however, that looks nothing like Rivera. Unfortunately, there are no points for effort in this contest, and our guess is that the thing fell apart less than a week afterwards. The $3,150 was $50 for every save against the Rays, which was creative, but a lackluster amount given what other teams gave. Ouch.
