On Monday, Nike published a sneak peek for the Elite Series of the LeBron 12, the Kobe X and the KD 7.
The shoes will reportedly feature tech upgrades that will maximize the shoe’s performance compared to their non-Elite counterparts. The LeBron 12 “Elite” incorporates “Megafuse” and new vertical wings for better lockdown on the court. Unlike the regular KD 7, the KD 7 “Elite” will have perforations in its hyperfuse for a lighter weight and better breathability. The Kobe X “Elite” represents the most radical departure from it’s non-Elite model. Instead of a low top, the Kobe X “Elite” goes for a high top look and it’s made out of recycled polyester yarn for a flyknit construction that most closely resembles the Kobe 9 “Elite.”
Nike will offer three collections to kick off the 2015 Elite Series. The “Team Collection” series will release on April 18th. The “Elevate Collection” will release a month later on May 15th. Nike will round out the Elite Series with the “Rose Gold Collection” on June 5th.
