Go ahead and cross “Indian Forest Guard” off my list of possible careers after seeing what happened during the planned apprehension of a rogue Leopard. The leopard apparently injured five villagers before attacking the forest guard during attempts at leopard capture:
the Leopard was killed after the policemen used batons and knives to save their colleagues:
Though two doctors were kept ready throughout the operation, the leopard died while it was being treated at the Sukna veterinary centre. Only a post-mortem can ascertain the reason…, though external injuries are suspected to be the primary cause.
I assume “external injuries” is coroner code for a Rampart Division style beatdown was the cause of death but good luck with that autopsy.
Enjoy your day at work tomorrow when you probably won’t be jumped by a leopard.
