A quartet of Philadelphia 76ers players has formed a rap group to help distract their fan base from the historically awful season they are about to embark on. The group, named “Team WHOP” (We Handle Our Problems), includes Tony Wroten, Michael Carter-Williams, and two guys we’ve never heard of, Vander Blue and Khalif Wyatt (aka, two guys Sixers head coach Brett Brown probably wasn’t referring to when he said the team might only have “six NBA players”).
Similar to many rap groups, they’ve created a handshake and a nine-minute hype video. However, unlike many rap groups, there’s no footage of them actually rapping, which is a problem they should get around to handling at some point. Well, that, and winning more than nine games this season.
