More than 10 years ago, former Penn State Nittany Lions football coach Jerry Sandusky was convicted of sexual assault and grooming. He has not spoken publicly about his conviction in over a decade, but he broke his silence during an interview this week.
Jerry Sandusky was convicted on 45 counts of sexual abuse of ten boys back in 2012. But in a new interview with The Daily Mail, Jerry Sandusky continued to claim his innocence as he denied all wrongdoing.
“I never ever in my life ever thought about molesting anybody,” Sandusky claimed in an interview with the Daily Mail. “I was accused of heinous crimes, which I’ve never committed. My wife was my only partner in sex and that was after marriage.”
Sandusky claims that he is the victim of “inconsistent, perjured testimony” and is falsely convicted and imprisoned.
“I was in disbelief in terms of how this happened. Why were they [accuser] saying things that were so inconsistent with what they had said before?” Sandusky said. “I believe I was wrongfully convicted by inconsistent, perjured testimony.”
Sandusky claims that all of the victims were “incentivized” by money as he claimed that “nobody came forward on their own.”
He is currently serving a 30 to 60-year prison sentence for his crimes.
